An ascending arpeggio sounding like a scale - by Imagine Dragons

You may not know the MOBA game League of Legends,
you may not know the title Warriors from Imagine Dragons,
Just listen to the solo at 1:45
after some bends, there is an ascending pattern, I take time to figure out why it sound cool, but not like scale pattern. It's because it is a Em arpeggio !

an Em (E G B) each note play along with its minor second :
E Eb E then G Gb G then B Bb B, etc...
Nice and great idea by Wayze Sermon.

A more chomatic spider

As previously a warm-up and synchonization workout
instead of the classical spider (1234 1234 etc...)

-----------------------------------------------5-6-7-8-
---------------------------------------6-7-8-9---------
-------------------------------6-7-8-9-----------------
----------------------7-8-9-10-------------------------
------------8-9-10-11----------------------------------
-9-10-11-12--------------------------------------------

why not a true chromatic scale ?
with no "hole"
To be worked up and down of course, start where you want.

Idea from a guitar column by Stephan Forte

[updt] I found this related column from guitar world, by John Petrucci : romancing the fret board. A Guitare adaptation of Chopin's Piano Concerto in A minor, Opus No. 2

My pinky is weaky...my pinky is weaky..

Yours are not ? lucky boy !
I've been through the classical harmonic spider (1234 - 1234 - etc...)
But, I'v finally find a much better exercise : the walking ring & pinky
thx Ben Lindholm.
remember : this has to be played with finger 3 and 4, like if you mimic a walking man
